The Database Administrator (DBA) will be responsible aiding in the security, performance, and integrity of NSM databases. **This is a hybrid situation from the Conshohocken, PA Home Office**

Responsibilities

  • Own access, compliance, and security to NSM databases, including different access levels depending on environment. 
  • Awareness of personally identifiable information (PII) and how to secure PII. 
  • Focus on automating repeatable process, including database deployments, permissions, maintenance plans, reporting, etc. 
  • Utilize cloud databases where appropriate.
  • Participate in the change control process by reviewing and approving any scripts that modify data/schema. 
  • Identify opportunities to perform database tuning to increase performance.  
  • Work with the Strategy and Analytics team to ensure proper data practices are being followed. 
  • Knowledge of database upgrade processes and migration strategies. 
  • Knowledge of ETL and RPA processes and technology are a plus. 
  • Familiarity with SOX Compliance a plus.

Qualifications

  • Excellent skills with the following database technologies preferred SQL Server 2008 R2-2020 / Azure SQL / Cosmos DB / Sybase SQL Anywhere / Oracle / DB2.
  • Tuning and optimization (query performance, index tuning, availability, capacity planning). 
  • Querying and related tools. 
  • Familiarity with database Backup/Restore (full, differential and transaction log backups).
  • Database security including users and roles.
  • Database Design (creation, modeling, proper use of schemas). 
  • Experience with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements for data access, change control and auditing.
  • Self-starter and highly organized. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English). 
  • Creative thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. 
  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, preferred. 
  • 3+ years of job-related experience.
