An experienced underwriting assistant is needed to support ATP’s production underwriter(s) with a book of multi-line accounts, ranging from $30,000 - $1,000,000 premium range.  The underwriting analyst for the Addiction Treatment Providers Insurance Program (ATP) will work in tandem with their assigned underwriter to achieve required levels of service, quoting, and issuing of commercial insurance policies across all lines of coverage including General Liability, Professional Liability, Property and Commercial Auto.

Responsibilities

  • Review new submissions for completeness, accuracy and make requests for missing information.
  • Rate for quote within internal rating system.
  • Issue and bill all bound policies.
  • Process and bill all endorsements.
  • Ensure all documentation of Underwriting files received.
  • Follow up for required information.
  • Ensure policy and endorsement premiums are current. Work with agency partners and internal Finance Team to ensure timely payment and application of funds.
  • Interact with agent clients to provide superior customer service via phone and email.
  • Fully assist and support Underwriters in all aspects of their primary responsibilities and production goals.

Qualifications

  • Commercial P&C Insurance experience; rating experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ISO commercial policy forms: General Liability, Property and Auto.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide superior service and maintain strong relationships with agents.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates teamwork capabilities.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet applications.
