The Underwriting Assistant for the Small Business Unit of the Addiction Treatment Providers (ATP) Insurance Program will work in tandem with the small business underwriter to achieve required levels of service, quoting, and issuing of commercial insurance policies across all lines of coverage.  Candidates must possess very strong organizational and time management skills along with attention to detail. The Underwriting Assistant is needed to support ATP’s Small Business Unit consisting of a book of multi-line accounts within the $1,000 - $15,000 premium range.

• Manage a high volume of renewal accounts.
• Rate for quote within internal rating system.
• Issue and bill all bound policies.
• Process and bill all endorsements.
• Ensure all documentation of Underwriting files received.
• Follow up for required information.
• Interact with our agent clients to provide superior customer service via phone and email.

• Prior administrative experience, preferred.
• Previous Commercial P&C Insurance Experience; preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide superior service and maintain strong relationships with agents.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates teamwork capabilities.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet applications.
