  • Overview

    NSM Insurance Group is looking to add a Business Analyst to our growing Operations team located in Conshohocken, PA.  


    Individuals in this roles ideally have previous experience within an insurance company and with configuring systems.


    • Analyze business systems to align the software solutions with business programs
    • Interact with Business Leaders to define and document Business Requirements
    • Perform system testing for enhancements implemented within the system
    • Develop, document and facilitate user acceptance test plans to ensure fulfillment of requirements and successful project implementation
    • Prepare and maintain user reference guidelines and documentation
    • Assist in developing training material and provide regular information regarding system and business changes.
    • Collaborate with contractors and external vendors to resolve issues
    • Analyze business software and processes

    • Builds positive relationships with the business, both users and managers, and understands their current processes
    • Can create documentation of issues or changes needed to the system or software

    • Works on issues based off priority and properly tests solutions prior to executing them in Production
    • Able to solve issues in a timely manner with efficient solutions
    • Creates auditing within system to capture issues when they arise as part of the resolution
    • Able to document route cause analysis post issue resolution

    • Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years of experience in a Business Support, Operations, or System Analyst role 
    • Knowledge of the insurance industry and policy lifecycle from submissions to policy issuance preferred
    • Strong analytical skills, ability to problem solve, and anticipate problems based off previous experience
    • Proven ability to be flexible and work hard in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
    • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
    • Keen attention to detail when analyzing and interpreting data/issues
    • Good understanding of relational databases, SQL queries, procedures, and scripts
    • Ability to configure and support system based on requirement documentation
    • Willingness to learn new systems, software, and technologies
